About the event
The African Diaspora Homecoming and Naming Ceremony is a collaborative project by Holistic Migration Consult, the World Conference of Mayors, Ghana and Urban Chic Travelista, LLC.
This initiative is thoughtfully crafted to foster a mutually beneficial connection between Ghanaian businesses and African diaspora entrepreneurs and communities, achieved through a business & networking summit and special naming ceremony. The program also encompasses a three-day tour, and ample free time for personal exploration to uncover the charm of the Accra region.

- Effective as of 10/15/2023, flight rates range between $1000 and $1500 per person.
- You have the option to book your flights independently, or we can assist you with the booking. Please be prepared to confirm and pay for your flight on the same day. We will provide you with a payment link and the specified purchase deadline.
- To ensure timely delivery of your travel documents in time for you to submit your visa application, all flights must be booked and the details submitted to us no later than January 12, 2024.
- Letters for visa on arrivals (if permissible by the government) can be arranged for an additional $100 per person. A request must be received no later than February 5, 2025 at 5 pm CST, along with the payment fee.
- If you choose to make your own flight arrangements, kindly select a flight that arrives in Ghana no later than 5 pm if you plan to attend the Akwaaba (Welcome) Dinner. Additionally, please share your flight itinerary with us so we can arrange your airport transfer.

- Registration will remain open as long as there is space available.
- Payments are non-refundable.
- The land package minus the $500 deposit is transferrable to a different person for this event on or before January 12, 2024.
- The person who will be taking over the reservation must register for the event and pay a $500 deposit.
- Multiple payments can be made at anytime up to the final payment due date.
- A $50 final payment late fee will be applied to the invoice for any outstanding balance beginning January 12, 2024 at 11:59 pm CST.
- The reservation is at risk of being canceled after the final payment due date.

If you do not have a valid passport please CLICK HERE to either apply for a new or renew your passport. It can take up to 16 weeks to receive your passport. Although this may be the most you can expect to wait to get a passport back, you should make every effort to apply as early as possible. |
There are no Covid requirements in place for Ghana at this time.
A yellow fever shot records or a waiver from your health provide is required for entry into Ghana.

Travel insurance is not included in this package and will be an additional cost. We highly suggest that all travelers secure travel protection to protect their investment. We will send you a travel insurance quote within 1 business day after you've registered for the trip. However, you are welcome to shop around and secure travel protection through a different company. Please send us a copy of your travel protection policy should you decide to secure a policy.
We highly recommend securing travel insurance within 14 days of securing your deposit so you have the following options available:
