Travel Dates: November 3-13, 2026

Destinations: Portugal: Lisbon; Spain: Seville, Madrid, and Barcelona

Honoring History Across Portugal & Spain

This hosted cultural journey begins in Lisbon, then continues through Seville, Madrid, and Barcelona, where travelers will explore historical sites, cultural landmarks, and local neighborhoods across Portugal and Spain.

Throughout our journey in Portugal and Spain, travelers will visit a variety of historical sites that reflect the region’s layered past — from imperial influence and migration to art, architecture, and cultural exchange. These experiences provide important context as we move through each destination.

To deepen this understanding, we intentionally begin our cultural exploration in Lisbon with two powerful, guided experiences, allowing travelers time to settle in before engaging more deeply.

Slave Trade History Walking Tour – Lisbon
This guided walking tour explores Lisbon’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, highlighting African presence, resistance, and legacy within Portugal. Through storytelling and historical context, travelers gain a fuller understanding of Europe’s connection to the African diaspora.

Afro-Food Walking Tour – Lisbon
Food tells stories that history books often leave out. This Afro-Food Walking Tour explores Afro-influenced cuisine rooted in African heritage, connecting history to the present through flavor, culture, and community.

By grounding the journey in Lisbon with these experiences, travelers are better equipped to understand the broader historical and cultural sites visited throughout Portugal and Spain.

These experiences are curated to educate without exploitation, honor truth without trauma tourism, and celebrate resilience through history and culture.
